Corse Mode: is the 11th studio release from |U|, an experimental electronic music project. Referencing various types of dark-synth and industrial influences, |U| as an experimental project is a blending of styles producing "Stark wave".
The journey of being coaxed into a world of sonic experiments by an dark shadow muse has been one filled with a deep creative force.
Corse(corpse) Mode as an album is a body of musical compositions that are all quite different in feel. Hopefully making an album in the more classic sense, one of variety with different emotional landscapes.

The practice of creating electronic music is a steep learning curve. Ideas and the path to what is possible has never been so interesting and accessible. This is incrementally expansive and is a rather strange soundscape that becomes an ecosystem. Engineering the evolution of this is what |U| is all about for me.

The content is inspired by the things in my life, the world through the lens of a Gemini infused with a profound sense of the shadow realm. A traveler in the labyrinth. Wandering into the hall of mirrors.

The track "home" is about the loss of a person in my circle of friends from my younger days by a tragic means. Saying nothing is what we often do. This composition helped me deal with that situation.
The track "walk beside me" is dedicated to the life of Roderick Stanley, who was another friend of mine whom was very close and died too soon. -miss you brother-

The material on Corse mode was the slow passage to the winter solstice. These recordings represent the fall and early winter of 2022.
